Unified Care Ltd is a provider of care and support to adults
with learning disabilities, autism, mental health and other support needs within the UK.
We are committed to the principles of the Modern Slavery Act
2015. Our recruitment processes are robust and safe. We proudly employ care workers via formal International Recruitment processes and abide by the legal and ethical processes and procedures that govern this scheme.
We will remain vigilant and committed to creating a safe
working environment and caring environment for our staff and service users, respectively.
1.    Organisation structure and supply chains
Our organisational structure is as follows:
We endeavour to use contractors and providers, at both our
sites, who also abide by the Modern Slavery Act. We are committed to
strengthening the processes in relation to our suppliers and third-party
 partners.
2.    Policies in relation to slavery and human
trafficking
Our Recruitment and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and
Safeguarding Policies support the adherence to the Modern Slavery Act and we
are committed to ensuring that our current processes are robust. We are also
reviewing our policies to ensure that we continue to improve our practices as a
 caring organisation.
3.    Due diligence processes
We acknowledge that Slavery and Forced Labour are offences and
we will take notice and escalate any indications or encounters of Modern
Slavery within our environment. We are also against human trafficking and
exploitation. We ensure that our practices of International Recruitment follow
the correct legal and ethical processes to protect our workers.
4.    Risk assessment and management
We will monitor and assess our business, supply chain and
contractors and reduce the risk of slavery and human trafficking from occurring
in our business and supply chains.
5.    Key performance indicators to measure
effectiveness of steps being taken
As we are in the care sector and employ International
Recruits we will make sure that staff have a voice and opportunities to raise
concerns to their line managers and via staff engagement. We currently don’t
have any specific KPIs in this area.
6.    Training on modern slavery and
trafficking
We will implement supply chain training for our management
team during 2024, in adherence to the Modern Slavery Act. We will also seek out
further training for the whole organisation, over and above our current
 safeguarding adults training.
